India Infoline consolidated net up 2.58 times in Q2 (updated)

Financial services space reported a 2.58 times rise in its net profit to Rs 536.7 million for the quarter ended September 2007, from Rs 207.6 million in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Total income rose 2.46 times to Rs 1,952.90 million for the quarter ended September 2007 from Rs 794.9 million, for the same period last year.India Infoline, on a standalone basis disclosed a phenomenal jump in net profit for the quarter ended September 2007. During the quarter, the company experienced a 4.60 times rise in profit to Rs 455.38 million, from Rs 98.88 million in the quarter ended September 2006.Net sales for the quarter rose 7.21 times to Rs 1,191.12 million, compared with Rs 165.03 million in the corresponding quarter, a year ago. Total income rose 7.52 times to Rs 1,309.95 million for the quarter ended September 2007, from Rs 184.75 million for the same period last year.The diluted EPS after extraordinary item stood at Rs 7.31 for the quarter ended September 2007.

Zee Entertainment Q2 consolidated net jumps 4.61 times

Leading media house, Zee Entertainment Enterprises registered a phenomenal growth of 4.61 times in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 2007. During the quarter, the company experienced a rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 970.60 million, from Rs 210.10 million in the same quarter of the previous year. Consolidated total income during the quarter jumped 15.43% to Rs 4,210.70 million compared with the corresponding quarter, a year ago.

Bhushan Steel net rises 49% in Sep`07 qtr

Bhushan Steel announced a 48.60% jump in net profit at Rs 1,034.10 million for the quarter ended September 2007, compared with Rs 695.90 million for the quarter ended September 2006. Net Sales rose 7.38% to Rs 10,681.20 million in the quarter, from Rs 9,947.10 million in the same quarter, a year ago.Total Income stood at Rs 10,815.90 million for the quarter ended September 2007, where as the same was at Rs 9,995.80 million for the quarter ended September 2006
